Our Patagonia Adventure Guide Program allows you to become fully immersed in some impressive landscapes. El Chalten is a town located in Los Glaciares National Park and is renowned for being the hiking capital of Argentina. El Chalten sits on the cusp of the Chilean border and is a bustling community full of like-minded individuals who have come to enjoy the outdoors.


In the heart of the region are the Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre mountain ranges, which tower over this unique township set in the foothills of the Patagonian Andes. When you are not exploring the mountainous terrain, you will be immersing yourself in the local way of life. You will never tire of the beautiful, untamed landscape which is where you will find both the northern and southern ice fields. 

  • Month1: Learn the fundamentals of hiking and rock climbing in El Chalten
  • Month2: Complete your Advanced Wilderness First Aid course, learn the technicalities of hiking and rock climbing. 
  • Month 3: Introduction to Mountaineering and Glacier trekking, client assessment days.  



This Adventure Guide Program Patagonia is suitable for anyone who wants to embark on a career to become an adventure guide, or simply to challenge their own understanding of what it means to take on the wild. Gain skills you will use  as a hiker, climber, and lover of exploring untouched regions.
