Our adventure guide program in Africa isn’t your usual African jeep safari experience. We go deeper into the mountains and jungles, beyond the tourist route to small game reserves and savannahs focused on sustainability. You’ll be surfing at J-Bay and horse trekking the Drakensburg range, viewing the big-5 but also so many other deadly and fascinating animals. If you're into animals, this outdoor adventure is for you! https://bit.ly/2sCc52A
Ain't no mountain high enough...
Pure Exploration is not just another tour. We provide an immersive cultural and natural experience, shaped and driven by a goal - adventure guide qualifications. Founder, Zach, breaks down what we provide and how Pure Exploration is right for your next journey.

You know things are getting serious when the fake blood starts making an appearance. We're spending this week doing a prehospital emergency care course and running some wild scenarios. I think the neighbours are getting worried....
Although not as high as in the northern parts of the Andes in Bolivia and Chile, the gnarly peaks of the Patagonian Andes Fitz Roy (3,405m - Argentina) and San Valentin (4,058m - Chile) are notoriously difficult to climb and spectacular to view in the flesh. As the 12 week program enters the last month, our current adventure guide interns will be spending more time reading up on requirements for their NZOIA Leader Hike and Rock assessments. Like last year's interns (pictured), they will find they have been over-prepared and hopefully will feel confident and ready to roll 💪
